donald francis

Donald Francis thinks that being a Doctor of Chiropractic is the greatest job in the world. Where else can you help people achieve so much more with their life? He graduated Valedictorian/ Summa Cum Laude at the world renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in the United States of America. Palmer College is the world's oldest Chiropractic educational establishment and is the fountainhead from which the entire profession has sprung. Donald is passionate about the study and practice of his profession and is continually furthering his academic and practical knowledge of this broad, intriguing and unique form of natural healthcare. He has taken a special interest family practice from babies to their grandparents. This includes the care of the pregnant mum and children, treating infants from birth onwards. Donald has a keen belief that everyone should experience chiropractic, even those without obvious symptoms, in order to experience life at a higher level.

Prior to attending Chiropractic College he spent 12 years as an Army Officer in the Royal Regiment of Artillery, serving all over the world, including Iraq and the Balkans. When not looking after your spinal health he loves rugby (these days he coaches with the Selkirk Rhinos mini-rugby programme), plays tennis, enjoys all forms of sailing and road cycling. They have three children, Jamie, Hannah and Charlie who have been chiropractically adjusted since infancy and have never had an antibiotic or been seriously ill. Dr Mary Young

Dr Mary Young is a Doctor of Chiropractic with a unique perspective. When not adjusting humans she is one of only three registered Animal Chiropractors in Scotland and she works with horses and dogs throughout the UK. Mary qualified from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic and then completed the post-graduate International Veterinary Chiropractic Association qualification at the AECC Bournemouth and in Germany. She has addedSOT to her toolbox. Mary grew up in Fife and worked with horses there, before heading south to University. 'Prior to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at Cambridge University, and later worked as a lecturer at Cambridge while a Fellow and Tutor at Fitzwilliam College. She also worked for Sheikh Mohammed’s breeding operation in Newmarket and while there rode out in the mornings before work. One of her collie dogs needed help and introduced her to chiropractic in 2005, and the direction of her life changed immediately! Now settled happily outside Denholm, Mary combines a busy working life with being mother to Angus and partner to David. She has several 'project' horses waiting at home to be brought on when she gets a chance.
